Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Backup Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This role assists with receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position also provides coverage during peak periods and employee absences to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks as needed
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
- Ensure shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse operations
- Provide backup support for the primary Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Additional Requirements
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience or willingness to become certified preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
