Position Summary
The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for performing analytical testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications. This role supports manufacturing operations by verifying product quality, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring laboratory equipment and processes meet company safety and quality policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples to verify conformity to specifications
- Conduct incoming raw material testing to ensure compliance with required standards
- Record and document test results on batch tickets and within the company operating system
- Maintain and organize quality records, including retains of production/intermediate batches and raw material samples
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all testing procedures and results
- Set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and proper housekeeping standards
- Follow all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality policies
- Evaluate retained production batches in response to quality complaints
- Perform 5S audits or other quality audits according to established plans
- Support quality control initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or two-year technical degree preferred in Quality, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
- OR
- Three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training
Experience Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
