Quality Supervisor

1st Shift

Position Purpose:

               To oversee all Quality functions and works with other Department Heads to ensure that Corporate and customer’s needs are met.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of Engineering and/or Technology with a minimum of 1 year of Quality Assurance experience including; blueprint reading GD & T, and SPC. Must have good communication and organizational skills, TS 16949 and/or IATF 16949 knowledge and implementation experience.

Description of Responsibilities:

·        Monitor inspections and Quality control activities and assist the organization with the implementation of a total quality control program.

·        Establish inspection requirements for production operators. Serve as liaison between Production and Engineering in all matters involving product quality including; product productability, material standards, and process of tool quality capabilities.

·        Monitor means of measuring quality performance and customer satisfaction.

·        Train, and supervise quality control and inspection personnel.

·        Help establish requirements, approve design, and supervise use and maintenance of gauges, templates and inspection tools.

·        Review and approve supplier PPAP when applicable.

·        Prepare, review and submit customer PPAP.

·        Serve as liaison between Jay Ind. and customer.

·        Be available to visit customer site to address quality issue.

·        Follow for the overall quality system and ensure operational effectiveness.

·        Monitor specific quality programs and implement the quality programs procedures to comply with corporate customer requirements and standards.

·        Participate in the preparation of quality plans.

·        Act upon and record product problems, process and quality system deficiencies.

·        Verify the implementation of solutions and control plans with the assistance of the Engineering and Production Department.

·        Approve newly released documents and revised documents.

·         Interpret conformance of customer quality requirements.

·         Review customer specifications.

·         Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

·        Perform or review lay out on components, assemblies, tools and gauges using quality certified measuring devices.

·        Perform Internal Quality audits after proper training has been provided, when applicable.
