Position Summary
The Maintenance & Repair Technician supports all aspects of property maintenance, including upkeep of physical grounds, preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and response to emergency situations. This role also provides general support to the Quality, Safety, and Training teams to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for staff and visitors.
- Perform and/or coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems.
- Interact with and oversee contractors performing work on-site.
- Conduct daily building and property inspections, addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
- Manage building access, including control of keys and pest control programs.
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare maintenance reports and documentation as required.
- Provide guidance and hands-on training to junior maintenance staff.
- Complete all assigned safety and technical training.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, repair operations, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand and power tools, and general building maintenance.
- Basic understanding of carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
