Key Responsibilities
- Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time
- Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers
- Process incoming payments via check, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications
- Prepare aging reports and assist with collections efforts
- Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues
- Apply payments and credits to the correct customer accounts
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Adding or updating accounting policy and procedure documentation
- Adding and maintaining reseller certificates and state registrations for Nexus in Avalara
- Processing payroll and 401k
- Purchasing Backup and Support
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Proficiency in month-end close procedures and account reconciliation.
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with experience with ERP systems, specifically Odoo.
- Avalara AvaTax or other multi-state sales tax systems
- ADP Payroll and 401 (k) administration
