Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk

Surf Thru Express Car Wash is seeking a motivated Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our fast-growing team. This is an onsite role in Bakersfield, CA, so candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Bakersfield prior to starting.

About the Role

The AP/AR Clerk will assist with the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role involves processing vendor invoices and payments (Accounts Payable) and managing customer billing and incoming payments (Accounts Receivable).

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments
• Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies
• Prepare and issue customer invoices for accounts receivable
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer balances
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accounting software

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; postsecondary education a plus
• 5 years of accounting experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Word, Outlook, and Adobe
• Strong 10-key typing skills with high accuracy
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail
