Job Summary

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine environment
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures adhering to health and safety standards, ensuring all areas are hygienic and safe
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely
• Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, outdoor work, and furniture moving while maintaining proper ergonomic practices
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and preferences
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and detergents, ensuring proper storage and usage of all cleaning agents
• Conduct regular outdoor work as needed for property upkeep or garden maintenance in residential settings

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor cleaning techniques, carpet care, and sanitation standards
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks with ease
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents
• Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior areas when required
• Previous housekeeping management experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
