Position: Digital Delivery Modeller Division Transport Location Cape Town REPORTS TO Section Manager or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time. PRIMARY POSITION PURPOSE Provide Modelling services and prepare documentation for projects as well as provide other appropriate technical support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure projects are documented within guidelines set by supervisor Produce efficient, high quality Models, drawings and documentation Ensure tasks are completed to program Use office systems relevant to tasks Ensure appropriate technical and model/drawing standards and quality procedures are maintained on all projects Take ownership and responsibility for own work Preparation of Bill of quantities Training of more junior staff Prepare and produce Issue Slips Communicate with clients, suppliers and other offices Assist with quantity measurements Assist Senior Modellers and Engineers with research and innovation Consult directly with Engineers Compiling discipline specific detailing KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Capability and desire to learn Working with project guidelines and standards Complete quality models drawings and documents within a required timeframe RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE National Diploma (Civil Engineering or equivalent) 1- 5 years modelling and production experience Experience in the use of Autodesk, Bentley and other relevant software Understand the use and importance of standards in the application of software tools We are proud of the brilliant minds we have at SMEC and are committed to ensuring that our people have the best opportunities and resources to learn, grow and succeed.
