About the Role
As an Associate Veterinarian in the Overland Park / Kansas City metro area, you will:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and wellness evaluations for canine and feline patients
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
- Interpret laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical results
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries and other procedures within your comfort level
- Provide dental examinations, treatment recommendations, and dental procedures
- Educate clients on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and ongoing medical management
- Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant medical records
- Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service representatives
- Deliver high-quality patient care while building strong, long-term client relationships
- Participate in preventative-care programs, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, and wellness screenings
Candidate Profile
Must Have:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in Kansas
- Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and patient-management skills
- Excellent communication and client-education abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient care
- Commitment to high-quality small animal medicine and client service
Preferred:
- Comfortable practicing small animal medicine and routine surgical procedures
- DEA license or eligibility, where applicable
