About the Role
As an Associate Veterinarian in the St. Charles / Greater St. Louis area, you will:
- Perform wellness exams, sick-patient evaluations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and follow-up care for companion animals
- Diagnose and manage medical conditions using in-house laboratory and diagnostic imaging resources
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures, including appropriate anesthetic and pain-management protocols
- Provide preventative-care recommendations, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition, and oral-health guidance
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and at-home care
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians, reception, grooming, and boarding teams to provide a consistent patient and client experience
- Provide emergency care during regular hospital hours, with after-hours cases referred to local emergency partners
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, patient-focused hospital culture
Candidate Profile
Must Have:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active Missouri veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong clinical judgment in small animal general practice
- Confidence with preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, and client education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate, team-based patient care
