SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
-
Must be available one weekend (Saturday - Sunday), 10am - 6pm every six weeks for rotational on-call

$20-$24/hour
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
-
1 year of full-time work experience of human/social services
-
At least six months of coaching experience in any field (preferred)
MORE ON THE ROLE:
As a Mental Health Life Coach, you will serve a caseload of 16 to 18 clients with whom you will create individualized support plans and help pursue long-term stability while responding to immediate needs. 80% of your scheduled week will be in the community, driving to individuals’ own homes, and helping clients create plans and problem solve to continue residing in their own home. 20% of your week, you will be in the office answering client calls and being available for immediate in-person responses.
You will coach clients through daily life stressors and walk them through our proven problem-solving process. You will help clients process their emotions and overcome challenges in their life with the goal of reducing hospitalizations and the need for emergency services through de-escalation. We find that people who are a good fit for this role are adept at taking initiative with problem solving in their own lives.
It is a great way to expand your skills in de-escalation, goal setting, and mental health first aid. You will have weekly one-on-one meetings with your supervisor at our headquarters and join weekly team meetings for further support, ideas, and encouragement.
