Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Scheduler to support scheduling operations for utility field work and customer appointments. This role serves as a central point of contact for incoming customer communications and provides hands‑on support to senior schedulers throughout the job scheduling lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive mindset.
This is a hybrid role requiring on‑site presence Tuesday through Thursday at the Allentown location, with remote work on Monday and Friday.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Communication & Support- Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming customer calls and emails.
- Address customer questions and concerns directly when possible; escalate to appropriate teams when needed.
- Provide clear guidance on pre‑job requirements (e.g., inspection deadlines, required physical work, new meter account setup).
- Log all customer interactions and prepare weekly communication reports.
- Issue appointment reminders and confirmations.
- Assist schedulers with proactive customer outreach throughout the scheduling process.
- Schedule customer appointments and create IVR appointments.
- Remove job holds once verification is complete.
- Assist in work order close‑out activities.
- Schedule temporary disconnects as required.
- Assist in creating work packets for field teams.
- Support processing of bundled job cards.
- Investigate property damage claims and schedule work when PPL liability is confirmed.
- Provide general administrative and scheduling support as needed.
- Local to Allentown, PA or Lancaster, PA (no exceptions).
- Ability to work hybrid: onsite Tue–Thu, remote Mon & Fri.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable with in‑person interviews.
- Prior scheduling, dispatching, or coordination experience.
- Experience supporting utility, construction, or field operations teams.
- Familiarity with work orders, job packets, or scheduling systems.
