About the Role
The Senior Licensing Compliance Specialist owns the day-to-day execution of insurance producer licensing and related compliance activities that directly determine whether Supersure’s producers are legally permitted to operate. This role exists to further establish a scalable, durable licensing operating model as the company grows, protect the company from licensing-related regulatory risk, and enable faster, more predictable revenue generation through consistent licensing onboarding of insurance producers.
What You’ll Do
Producer Licensing & Onboarding
- Execute resident and non-resident producer licensing across all required states
- Manage licensing workflows from onboarding intake through clearance to sell
- Enforce required sequencing and gating, including documentation completeness, profile updates, and approvals
- Resolve state deficiencies and follow-ups directly with producers and managers
Multi-State Compliance & Reciprocity
- Manage non-resident licensing and reciprocity workflows
- Handle state-specific requirements, including affidavits, fingerprinting, and background checks
- Monitor renewals, reinstatements, lines of authority changes, and continuing education timelines
- Escalate novel or policy-level issues to Compliance leadership
Affiliation & Appointment Readiness
- Execute agency and producer affiliation steps required by certain states
- Maintain accurate licensing and affiliation status in internal tracking systems
- Deliver cleared, licensed producer status to the Carrier & Distribution Relations function as a prerequisite to carrier appointment processing
Centralized Intake & Communication
- Support centralized licensing intake and triage
- Provide clear guidance and status updates to Sales, Service Operations, and HR
- Draft licensing communications and action-required instructions for producers
Audit & Finance Support
- Coordinate with licensing vendors and service providers as applicable
- Prepare fee approvals and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Support internal audits, carrier reviews, and regulator inquiries
Process Improvement
- Help standardize licensing SOPs, checklists, and workflows
- Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities
- Provide operational input to future tooling and automation efforts
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of hands-on insurance producer licensing experience
- Direct exposure to multi-state producer licensing and reciprocity strongly preferred
- Experience working with RegEd, CSC Global, AgentSync, or similar licensing tools
- Background in an insurance agency/brokerage, MGA/MGU, carrier, insurtech, or licensing services firm
- Strong working knowledge of NIPR, Sircon, and state DOI processes
- Comfortable operating in manual, high-volume, deadline-driven environments
- Clear written and verbal communicator with non-compliance stakeholders
- Experience maintaining audit-ready documentation and compliance trackers
