Duties
- Assist with construction site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up work areas for various trades.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling materials.
- Support carpentry activities like framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, and cabinet installation.
- Help with concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, and concrete pouring to ensure structural integrity.
- Perform demolition, removal of old materials, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Assist with roofing installation, stucco application, plastering, and exterior restoration projects.
- Support specialized tasks such as glass installation, tile laying, flooring installation, and masonry work using appropriate techniques.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction environments.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements accurately.
- Experience with construction management software such as Bluebeam is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction inspection processes and safety protocols on-site.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, electrical components, and schematics for troubleshooting and support roles.
- Capable of operating heavy equipment safely when required for site tasks.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques including framing, roofing, concrete finishing, welding, and hardscape installation.
