Field Electrical Test Technician (Traveling)

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Electrical Switchgear & Low Voltage Breaker Test Technicians for immediate hire in Texas.

· PAY: $30–$80/hr. (strictly based upon experience) $208/day per diem when travelling per day worked.

· HOURS: Expected shifts will be 8–10 hour days starting at 6AM–7AM

· SCHEDULE: Expected work will be Monday–Friday; approximately 40–60 hours/week

· START DATE: ASAP

· DURATION: Temp to hire

Electrical Switchgear & Low Voltage Breaker Test Technician Job Description:

Perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage switchgear and circuit breakers in data centers, substations, and industrial environments. This role ensures electrical system reliability, safety compliance, and operational performance.

Qualifications for Electrical Switchgear & Low Voltage Breaker Test Technician:

· 3 years of experience in electrical testing, field service, or switchgear/breaker testing

· Strong understanding of low voltage distribution systems (480V and below)

· Experience with Megger, DLRO (Ductor), and primary/secondary injection testing

· Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE

· Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted

· Position requires the use of PPE including: steel toe work boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and arc flash gear

Additional Requirements for Electrical Switchgear & Low Voltage Breaker Test Technician:

· Ability to travel extensively (80–100%)

· Must be eligible to work in the United States

· Must have reliable transportation to the job site

· Valid driver’s license required

· Depending on assignment, applicants may be subject to pre-employment drug screen and background screening
