Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an Electronics Technician/Low Voltage Technician for a temp-to-perm opportunity in the Midlothian, VA area
PAY: $30–$40/hour (based upon experience)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays (Plus Overtime) 5 days per week
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday–Friday; 7:00 am–3:30 pm
START DATE: ASAP
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Professional Summary:
- Electronics Technician with experience in access control, low voltage systems, and electronic security installations
- Skilled in card access systems, Trilogy locks, CCTV, and intrusion detection
- Proven ability to perform new installations (65%) and maintenance/service work (35%)
- Works independently with strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
- Committed to delivering reliable system performance and strong customer satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in low voltage or electronic security systems installation and service
- Proficient in installing and servicing access control systems including card readers, door strikes, magnetic locks, and Trilogy lock systems
- Experience with low voltage cabling, terminations, and system integration for security platforms
- Installation & Service: Performed new system installations including layout, mounting, wiring, and device configuration
- Access Control Systems: Installed and maintained card entry systems and keyless entry hardware
- System Integration: Supported CCTV and intrusion detection system installations and upgrades
- Troubleshooting: Used diagnostic tools and software to identify system faults and restore functionality
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
- Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Position requires the use of PPE, including: steel-toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
- Must have standard low voltage/electrical hand tools
- Background and drug screen required
- DCJS License Required
Additional Requirements for Technician:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
