Welder/Pipe Fabricator

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Welder/Pipe Fabricator for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Rockledge, Florida!

• PAY: $19-$28/hr (Based on Experience)
• HOURS: 7AM-5PM, 40
• SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
• DURATION: Temp-to-Perm
• START DATE: ASAP

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator with MIG welding experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating pipe, ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications. Responsibilities include laying out, fitting, and welding pipe and some structural steel according to drawings and specifications. Candidates should be proficient in structural fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication on various metal assemblies.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare, set up, and maintain equipment and work areas to complete tasks effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Utilize measuring tools (e.g., tape measure) and layout tools accurately.
• Perform grinding, layout, and finishing work as needed.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and accuracy standards.
• Report fabrication issues and assist in resolving them as needed.
• Attend and participate in daily morning meetings.

Requirements:

• MIG welding experience required.
• Will go through a MIG test (.045 wire, flat & horizontal) and a pipe fitting test
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Proficient in using hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• 1 years of experience in welding and fabrication work
• Proficient in blue print reading and welding symbols
• Knowledge and experience completing welds that pass visual before being X-rayed or bend tested

Additional Requirements for Welder/Pipe Fabricator:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site
• Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
