Now Hiring- Commercial Pipe Welder fabricates, installs, and repairs high-pressure piping systems (HVAC, plumbing, gas) in commercial settings using techniques like TIG, MIG, and Stick welding. They interpret blueprints, cut/bevel pipes, and perform structural welds, often in confined or high-elevation areas. High physical endurance, safety compliance, and specialized certification are required.
Pipefitter/Welder:
- Fluent welding 3” steel pipe (stick welding)
- Welding 3 T-Joints of 30-40ft of pipe... tying in a chiller line
- Need to fit and thread pipe... no leaks!
Key Responsibilities
• Welding Fabrication: Perform high-quality welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and copper pipes using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes.
• System Installation: Install and repair HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems in accordance with blue prints and technical drawings.
• Pipe Prep & Fitting: Measure, cut, bevel, and align pipes using tools like grinders and torches.
• Quality Testing: Conduct hydrostatic, pressure, and leakage tests to ensure system integrity.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA regulations, utilize PPE (masks, respirator), and maintain a safe workspace.
• Structural Work: Collaborate with crew members on installation and read fabrication drawings for precise assembly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).
• Certification: Valid, up-to-date welding certifications (e.g., ASME, AWS).
• Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and work in high-elevation or outdoor environments.
• Experience: Generally 2–5 years of experience in commercial or industrial welding.
Working Conditions
• Environment: Outdoors, construction sites, or industrial spaces involving extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and tight spaces.
• Hours: Often entails long hours, early morning starts, and potential overtime
