CNC Machinist

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist for direct hire opportunities in Trainer, PA.

• Pay Range: $20-$55/hour (based upon experience)
• HOURS: 46 per week
• Shifts will be 8-10 hour workdays (Plus Overtime) 5 days per week
• SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday- Friday; 7:00 am-3:30 pm
• START DATE: ASAP

Position Overview

A growing precision manufacturing company in Pennsylvania is seeking a Senior HAAS CNC Machinist with extensive experience programming, setting up, and operating HAAS mills and lathes. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who excels in full machine setups, advanced G-code programming, and producing tight-tolerance components in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups, programming, and operation of HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Develop and edit G-code programs directly at the control to machine complex precision components.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance.
• Machine parts to tight tolerances while maintaining surface finish and quality standards.
• Select and optimize tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding to maximize efficiency and tool life.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program issues to reduce downtime and improve cycle times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized machining workspace in accordance with company safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of CNC machining experience, including senior-level HAAS machine operation.
• Strong G-code programming skills with full setup and prove-out experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated experience machining tight-tolerance precision components.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges).
• Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
• Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves

• Must have reliable transportation to the job site
