Heavy-Duty Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Perform repair and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and rail equipment, including hy-rail, booms, cranes, and brakes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Conduct diesel engine and electronic diagnostics (experience a plus)
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Complete accurate work orders, service records, and reports
- Maintain and operate a service truck and tools in a professional manner
- Provide reliable and timely service to customers in the field
- Minimum of 36 months fleet maintenance or heavy-duty truck experience required
- Strong background in hydraulics and troubleshooting
- Experience with hy-rail systems, booms, and cranes preferred
- Diesel engine and electronic diagnostic skills a plus
- Must provide your own tools
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions and willing to travel overnight
