We’re looking for a Senior HR Generalist to join a growing, family-owned organization where you’ll work closely with leadership and be deeply involved in the day-to-day of HR while also helping shape how the function continues to evolve. You'll lead recruiting, manage key HR operations, and support employees and managers across a multi-state and Canadian workforce. - Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 Bonus | Flexible Schedule | Hybrid Work Options

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to offer, including active outreach and candidate screening
- Partner with hiring managers to understand needs, guide interviews, and deliver strong candidate slates
- Drive a high-quality candidate experience through onboarding
Benefits & 401(k) Administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits and manage enrollments, changes, and employee support
- Lead annual open enrollment and coordinate with brokers/vendors
- Administer the 401(k) plan and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
HR Operations, Onboarding & Employee Support
- Lead onboarding efforts, including I-9 verification and maintaining compliant personnel files (in partnership with HR Administrator)
- Support employee relations, day-to-day HR needs, and manager coaching
- Help drive employee recognition and engagement initiatives
Leaves of Absence & Compliance
- Coordinate leave administration (FMLA, PFL, disability) with third-party vendor (Guardian)
- Act as the liaison between employees, managers, and vendors to ensure smooth communication and return-to-work coordination
- Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws and policies
Payroll Oversight & HRIS Integrity
- Provide backup support for multi-state payroll and audit payroll for accuracy and compliance
- Partner with HR Administrator on payroll processes and issue resolution
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and support reporting (ADP Workforce Now)
Process Improvement & HR Projects
- Identify and implement process improvements across HR systems and workflows
- Support audits, data validation, and system enhancements
- Contribute to broader HR initiatives such as policy updates, employee recognition programs, and performance processes
What We’re Looking For
What you’ll need to be successful in this role
- 5 years of experience, with a strong foundation in a Generalist role
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where not everything is fully built out yet
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Sound judgment and professionalism when handling employee relations matters
- Familiarity with multi-state employment practices and compliance requirements
What will help you stand out
- 7 years of progressive HR experience across multiple functional areas
- Experience supporting benefits administration and/or 401(k) plans
- Exposure to a multi-state workforce, with any experience supporting Canadian employees or employment law being a strong plus
- Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-site environment
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification
- A mindset geared toward taking ownership and improving processes
