Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Forge Press Operator for our operation in Lima, OH. The Forge Press Operator is a member of our Forging Department responsible to operate forge press & manipulators, i.e. equipment setup and movement of ingots/forgings.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining all equipment needed for forging operation.
- Operating press & manipulators, remote crane, and forge furnaces.
- Review and verify forging assignment, ingots scheduled to strip, and movements of ingots/forgings between furnace and forge press.
- Maintaining the start up and shut down of the forge press and manipulators.
- Making forging sticks and hot cutting forgings.
- Reporting all deviations from productions specifications, equipment problems, and issues.
- Perform other department duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
- Must be capable of lifting 60-80lbs occasionally throughout shift
- Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous foundry experience prefer
- Must be able to read/interpret blueprints and tape measure/ruler
- Good math skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
