Superior Essex, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of wire and cable products, seeks an Outside Sales Representative who would enjoy working within a dynamic sales group in our distribution division -- Essex Brownell. This Outside Sales Representative will cover one of our 3 open territories listed above for Motor Repair. This position is home based (remote) with consistent overnight travel.
Essential Functions/Duties
Manage a significant customer base in an established sales territory.
Strategic account management includes cultivating relationships in multifaceted vertical organizations and devising tailored growth plans.
Business Development. New business prospecting. Assess and develop future market and account opportunities.
Execute sales plans outlined by the Division, Sales, and Marketing Teams.
Resolve complex issues within the sales territory.
Effectively market and promote Essex magnet wire and extensive complementary product lines, including electrical motors and motor repair parts.
Coordinate internal and external resources to serve customers and prospects.
Joint selling with key suppliers to bring value-based solutions.
Well-planned sales visits with customers and prospects with prepared agendas and actionable follow-up items.
Working knowledge of the industrial distribution business model
Technical knowledge regarding electrical products and their applications
REQUIRED Knowledge/skills/abilities And Other Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of related work in industrial sales
BS or BA in Business Administration, Sales, or related field OR equivalent experience
50% Overnight Travel
Experience selling electrical motors, electrical motor repair parts, magnet wire, electrical insulation, or complementary products preferred.
Technical knowledge regarding electrical products and their applications.
Knowledge of the Transformer market would be a plus.
Additional Qualifications

Successful sales history
Demonstrated strategic selling & account management skills.
Business acumen
Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
