What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Coordinator position at Superior Essex?
Schedule: Two available openings on different shifts.
Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6pm
ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Under the general direction of the Sr. Distribution Supervisor, perform a wide variety of functions such as data entry, maintenance of records, preparing listings and summaries, simple computations, filing, and other administrative duties in support of the operations of the Shipping & Receiving department. Document preparation includes all required documents for the shipping & receiving of customer orders, interplant transfers, and vendor shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure products are delivered to their destinations accurately and promptly
- Set guidelines for performing assessments
- Serve as a liaison between departments, developing strategies to optimize operations
- Monitor shipments, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain communication with vendors
- Perform other related duties as directed.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
- Two (2) years of experience in:
- Customer service
- Management systems
- Shipping and receiving
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Experience in distribution or logistics operations
- Strong communication skills
