Overview
The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests. This role is key to upholding the hotel’s standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and reset guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Replace linens, towels, and amenities in rooms.
- Replenish supplies such as toiletries, tissues, and minibar items.
- Report any maintenance issues, room damage, or lost and found items to the supervisor.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Respect guest privacy and adhere to “Do Not Disturb” signs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and storage areas.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned rooms and tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical condition; ability to lift, bend, and be on feet for extended periods.
- Professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude.
