Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing scheduled sanitation routines.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use various cleaning equipment like vacuums, and mops efficiently to deliver high-quality results.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or hazards to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.

Experience

• Prior custodial or housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols enhances your ability to respond effectively in urgent situations.
• Demonstrated ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly, including understanding SDS guidelines.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and heavy lifting necessary for daily tasks.
• Experience with cleaning equipment operation such as vacuum cleaners and floor care machinery is a plus but not required; training will be provided.

Pay: $17.13 - $18.00 per hour
