Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a safe and functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Utilize electrical experience to diagnose and fix electrical issues.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and functions.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Execute residential painting projects as required.
- Supervise maintenance staff when necessary, providing leadership and guidance.
- Deliver excellent customer service while interacting with staff and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a focus on manufacturing or facilities maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate tools and equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Experience in welding techniques is preferred.
- Electrical experience is essential for troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset for leading maintenance teams.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication within the workplace.
