What are the responsibilities and job description for the Live-in Housekeeper position at Super 8 by Wyndham?
Responsibilities:
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning and sanitizing rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting all surfaces
- Emptying trash bins and replacing liners
- Restocking supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and towels
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Operating carpet cleaning equipment to deep clean carpets
- Handling laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens
- Adhering to safety guidelines and following proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals
Skills:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established cleaning protocols
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
Note: Housekeeping management experience is a plus for candidates interested in supervisory roles.
