Job Title: Night Auditor (Part-Time)
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Must be available to work weekends
Job Overview:
The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in overseeing overnight hotel operations, delivering excellent guest service, and completing accurate daily financial reconciliations. This role requires strong critical thinking, reliable problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to work independently during late-night hours. Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests, manage late check-ins and early check-outs, and assist with reservations, payments, and billing.
- Complete night audit procedures, including daily balancing, posting transactions, and generating required reports.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, sound judgment, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Monitor property activity overnight, follow safety protocols, and respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents.
- Maintain a visible lobby presence and assist guests with information about hotel amenities and local recommendations.
- Manage incoming reservations via phone and online systems, ensuring accuracy and clear communication.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and morning-shift staff regarding room statuses and guest notes.
- Upsell hotel services when appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and end-of-day summaries.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Previous night audit or hotel front desk experience preferred.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities; able to stay calm and decisive overnight.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with hotel reservation/PMS systems and general computer skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently.
- Must be able to work part-time weekend shifts (11pm–7am).
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality coursework or degree is a plus.
