What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector-Seasonal position at Sunset Rentals, LLC?
Fast-paced role inspecting homes and villas on Hilton Head Island. Duties include but are not limited to detailed housekeeping & maintenance inspections of rental properties between guests with some lite maintenance duties needed during inspections.
Keen eye for detail required. Special attention to kitchens, common areas and bedrooms of privately owned vacation rental properties. You'll be climbing stairs, looking under beds and combing through the property to ensure that everything is ready for our guests and owners. Reliable Transportation is mandatory.
Essential Functions:
- Perform housekeeping inspection after cleans have been completed to ensure the property is rental-ready, both interior & exterior.
- Staging each property to be sure it is properly set and organized for arrivals.
- Perform maintenance checks to ensure all functions of the properties are in working order including electronics (TVs WiFi), appliances, and lights.
- Maintenance and housekeeping checklists provided.
Skills Required:
- Detail oriented and organized - must perform thorough inspections.
- Excellent communication skills - relay detailed information to the operations team of any necessary repairs between guests.
- Easy maintenance items such as changing light bulbs, batteries, ensuring TV's are on correct inputs, resetting internet routers, tightening cabinet knobs, etc..
- Be able to multitask, prioritize tasks and adapt to change quickly and with positivity.
- Physical ability to perform duties. Requires frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, stair climbing, etc.
Schedule:
- Weekend availability
- Inspections are primarily Saturdays and/or Sundays, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (May thru September)
- Monday thru Friday inspections are on an as needed/on-call basis.
Specific Requirements:
Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to properties and island locations throughout the shift
Must have valid driver’s license
Ability to climb stairs, stoop, bend, reach, lift up to 25 pounds
Previous experience in hospitality preferred.
