About Sunrise Inn
Sunrise Inn is a café, bar, motel, store and fuel stop at Mile 45 of the Sterling Highway in Cooper Landing, Alaska. It's been a roadhouse since 1952, and we're open year round. We're hiring two cooks to start as soon as possible. Most of the job is in the kitchen, and on a small team you'll also help with the motel when it's needed.
Housing available: $300 a month, utilities included.
What you'll do
- Cook from our café menu during service
- Keep the line clean, stocked and prepped
- Follow food safety and handling standards
- Help with the motel when needed, like turning over rooms, doing laundry or checking in a guest
What we're looking for
- Cooking experience in a restaurant, café or diner
- Someone dependable who shows up on time. On a small team, every shift counts.
- Able to work weekends
- Willing to pitch in on motel work, not just the kitchen
- An Alaska Food Worker Card, or willing to get one within your first 30 days
Pay and housing
- Pay is based on experience
- Housing: $300 a month, utilities included. Available to anyone relocating to work with us.

Cooper Landing is a small town of about 300 people where Kenai Lake runs into the Kenai River, roughly 100 miles south of Anchorage. Winters are quiet, with short days and a lot of snow. Summers are busy, and the river, the lake and the trails are right outside. The nearest full grocery store is 45 miles away in Soldotna. If that sounds good to you, you'll probably like it here.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
