Activity Coordinator - Adult Residential Facility

About Us

Centrally located in Torrance, California, Sunnyside Residential ARF provides a group home type community for residents with a primary mental health diagnosis. Our activities program is extremely important to our residents, often a highlight of their day. We are looking for an Activities Coordinator who is hands on, creative, and ready to make a positive difference for our residents.

Job Description

• Point person for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this facility.
• Implement activity procedures as planned. This includes but is not limited to creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment, creating art projects, and other crafts, hosting and playing games, escorting residents to and from activity area, and awarding prizes.
• Encourage engagement among the residents
• Create monthly activties schedule ahead of time and aquire approval for any necessary budgets or necessary equipment
• Oversee the residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well being of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents.
• Help with the operation of the ARF as needed
• Must be able to pass our work physical and take a turburculosis screening if no proof of one in the last year.

Monday-Friday schedul

9am - 5pm
