Sunnybrook Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, dedicated, enthusiastic professional to join our team as a full-time veterinary technician. The position will provide work averaging 30-40 hours a week. A passion for surgery is a major plus!
We are a 2-doctor, exclusively small animal practice that specializes in providing compassionate and convenient care for our patients. We recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals. We provide many services such as wellness examinations, immunizations, surgery, radiology, an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, and emergency services.
Veterinary Technicians assist in multiple procedures providing care for animals including; physical examinations, dental procedures, surgeries, immunizations, and euthanasia. Other special skills include; client education, communication, marketing and inventory maintenance. This position requires a working knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, common diseases & their symptoms/ means of transmission. Along with knowledge of treatment and prevention, and other basic preventative health care recommendations. CVT/RVT/LVT with prior experience or at least 2 years is preferred but not required. Experience with AVImark software is a bonus. The ideal candidate must have great work-ethic, possess strong customer service skills and be team focused.
