Summary
The Training & Development Assistant performs routine to moderately complex training and development assistance work providing support for administrative and coordination functions related to training and development programs at all sites within Sunny Glen Children’s Home. Works under supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The Training and Development Assistant must have knowledge of training and development procedures and techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Organizes and prepares materials and supplies for training and development courses, such as notebooks, handouts, flipcharts, projectors, laptops, or other resources.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English & Spanish).
• Maintains training and development records and equipment.
• Helps compile reports on training and development programs.
• Assists in scheduling and registration for training and development courses and conferences, and in preparing and updating course rosters.
• Review and audit training files & certificates, as well as maintain database.
• Assists with coordinating and maintaining a schedule for training and development
• presentations.
• Assists in delivering training in a classroom or in a distance learning or e-learning environment.
• Crisis Prevention Institute Certification
• American Heart Association CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
• American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
• E-Colors Practitioner Certification
• Travels across organizational sites required.
• Adheres to all timeframes & deadlines as per state, ORR, and internal policies and procedures.

Educational and/or Experience
Experience in training and development assistance work. Bachelor’s degree required.
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Texas Driver's License with an excellent driving record
Have a record of tuberculosis screening showing the employee is free of contagious TB.
CPR/First Aid, 15-passenger van, CPI, TBRI, case management software, Paycom, and other DFPS-mandated training (training offered on the job).
E-Colors Practitioner, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Instructor, CPR/First Aid through American Heart and American Red Cross, Universal Human Trafficking Prevention Trainer (Identified Trainer for T3C Providers), OSHA 30-hours General Industry Safety and Health.
