Reports to the laundry supervisor. Responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment, maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives
Essential Functions
Education And Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience in institutional laundry operations, including experience in the following areas: receiving, inventory and shipping of supplies required. Must successfully complete required pre service training. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Post Hire Requirements
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.

Position Summary
Reports to the laundry supervisor. Responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment, maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives
Essential Functions
- Operate laundry equipment. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Perform tests on wash formulas.
- Provide the receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities, and implement inventory control procedures.
- Maintain related records and preparation for related reports.
- Direct the work of detainees assigned to assist in the laundry.
- Requires long periods of walking and standing
- Requires the pushing and pulling of laundry carts and lifting of laundry bags full of laundry which could weigh up to 30 lbs.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
- Maintain accountability of staff, detainees and property; adhere to safety practices.
