Position Summary:

The Sales Support role is a dedicated sales-focused position responsible for supporting the sales function through order tracking, customer communication, data integrity, and systems support. This role works closely with Sales Leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate information flow, timely customer updates, and reliable sales data.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Operations & Tracking

  • Manage orders, shipment, and sample tracking to support accurate and timely sales execution.
  • Assist with documentation including releases, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and sample requests.
  • Coordinate closely with operations, production, logistics, and quality to align on sales commitments.

Customer Communication

  • Communicate production updates, order status, and fulfillment information to customers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ensure all customer inquiries receive a response by end of day; when answers are pending, proactively communicate status updates.
  • Maintain a strong customer-service mindset while balancing internal operational realities.

CRM / ERP & Data Integrity

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date data within CRM and ERP systems, including data entry, validation, and reporting support.
  • Support sales reporting and data visibility to ensure leadership has reliable information.
  • Assist in standing up, maintaining, and improving CRM workflows, including support with data migration and ongoing system upkeep.

Sales planning and process support

  • Participate in sales planning, forecasting, and cadence meetings.
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements specific to the sales workflow.
  • Assist with special sales projects and initiatives as directed by Sales Leadership.

  • Maintain stable performance and emotional control when faced with opposition, pressure, and/or stressful conditions.

  • This role may require flexibility to meet sales and customer demands.
  • Overtime may be required during peak periods.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems (experience in produce or similar industries preferred).
  • Strong computer skills, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
  • High level of organization and follow-through.
  • Strong Project Management skills, to assist in managing and overseeing special projects and initiatives as directed.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales support or administrative experience, ideally in produce, agriculture, or related sales environment.
  • Experience supporting sales teams with reporting, customer follow-ups, and order coordination.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
