- Oversee all plant-level accounting operations, including cost accounting, inventory management, and monthly close processes.
- Develop and maintain accurate product cost models to guide pricing, margin analysis, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with plant leadership to prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, GAAP, and internal controls.
- Lead financial reviews with plant management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to align financial goals with production strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and standard costing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet management, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger oversight.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Sound understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account analysis, forecasting techniques, and cash flow management.
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
