Cashier/Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming environment will be key to enhancing the customer experience and driving sales.

Duties

• Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, processing customer transactions.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide detailed information about merchandise.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor by organizing merchandise and ensuring displays are appealing.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on features and benefits.
• Handle customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere.

Skills

• Proven experience in retail sales, demonstrating an understanding of customer needs and preferences.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to upsell products effectively, enhancing customer satisfaction while increasing sales.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and point-of-sale systems.
• Experience in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels.
• Knowledge of product demonstrations to effectively showcase items to potential buyers.
• Proficient phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally.
