Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to ICU patients with complex needs, including trachs, ventilators, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, and temporary pacemakers.
- Monitor and manage post-procedural recoveries, ensuring adherence to specialized protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team supported by 24-hour intensivist and mid-level provider coverage.
- Utilize EPIC charting system and medical equipment such as Alaris pumps and Pyxis for medication management.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control policies, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years ICU experience.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Expertise managing complex patient populations except pediatrics, burns, and transplant cases.
- Proficiency in CRRT and neuro patient care preferred; note that contract staff may not be assigned to certain post-cardiovascular and neuro patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with 1:2 patient ratios.
