A full-time contract opportunity awaits an experienced general education teacher, specializing in arts education. You’ll work with a dedicated group of approximately 20-25 students, guiding them through engaging lessons and projects and cultivating their artistic talents in a supportive educational environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Arts endorsement for grades PK-12
- Experience teaching visual and/or performing arts
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt instruction for varied learning needs
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, students, and families
- Passion for fostering student creativity and artistic growth
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a dynamic arts curriculum tailored to the needs and interests of PK-12 students
- Provide direct classroom instruction, hands-on activities, and performance opportunities
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for ongoing development
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate the arts into the broader educational experience
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere where students feel empowered to express themselves
