Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess and care for patients using the nursing process.
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards, facility policies, and state laws.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans including education for patients and families.
- Document all care and education activities in compliance with standards.
- Participate in performance improvement and shared governance.
- Provide expert guidance supporting patient plans of care across units.
- Serve as a resource for patient education materials and address related clinical concerns.
- Advocate for patients addressing clinical, psychosocial, and financial issues.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure in Illinois and Wisconsin.
- CPR certification valid within 90 days of hire.
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential required.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and holistic nursing practice.
- Ability to critically assess patient safety and coordinate appropriate responses.
