The role involves providing patient and family education, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and supporting peer review and shared governance. Clinical expertise will be used to support patient care across units and to resolve system issues. This position also requires managing complex patient safety scenarios, delegating tasks appropriately, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience: Graduate of an accredited nursing program Minimum 3 years RN experience, including 1 year in critical care Cardiovascular intervention experience required Current Illinois RN license Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications Successful completion of EKG testing prior to orientation completion NIH Stroke Scale certification
Schedule highlights include working the day shift with an on-call rotation covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Call frequency averages two nights per week and six weekends every 13 weeks.
