A full-time Social Worker position is available in a K-12 school setting in Meriden, CT. This contract role begins ASAP and runs through June, supporting students across all grade levels with comprehensive social work services. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of evaluations including Initials, Re-evaluations, Annuals, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs). Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members is essential to support student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry caseloads serving K-12 students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Conduct Initial, Re-evaluation, and Annual social work assessments
- Develop and implement FBAs and BIPs based on student needs and data
- Work collaboratively with educators, school psychologists, counselors, and families
- Provide direct social work services and support interventions to students
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with Connecticut school social work standards
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- Connecticut Certification in Social Work (071)
- Experience working within school social work settings preferred
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills related to student social and emotional needs
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative school team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
