Provide essential psychological services to students across multiple schools in the Fairhope, AL area through this itinerant school psychologist position. Serving the K-12 student population, this role offers a dynamic opportunity to support childrens mental health and educational success within the Mobile County public school system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students in grades K-12
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development
- Travel between assigned schools within the district, with specific locations to be determined
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama school psychologist license in good standing
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of educational assessment tools, IEP development, and counseling techniques
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload with flexibility and professionalism
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Position Details:
- Contract position from March 23, 2025 through May 29, 2026
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- On-site work required at schools across the district; specific assignments forthcoming
- Must be willing to complete prescreen eligibility interviews
- Images of current licenses required for credentialing by March 25, 2025
