This opportunity is for a licensed School Psychologist to provide on-site support within Mobile, AL schools, serving K-12 students. The role involves working at Forest Hill Elementary and a private school (Beacon of Hope Christian School) as well as additional schools within the surrounding cluster. The private school position is itinerant with the exact list of schools to be determined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across K-12 grade levels.
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student mental health and learning.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Manage a caseload of students to address academic, social, and emotional issues.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with state regulations.
- Provide services in accordance with district policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Alabama school psychology license.
- Experience working in public and private school settings preferred.
- Strong assessment and counseling skills with K-12 age groups.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility to serve multiple school sites, particularly for the itinerant private school position.
Work Schedule and Details:
- Contract position starting March 23, 2025 through May 29, 2026, including Extended School Year (ESY) and Non-School Year (NSY) services.
- 37.5 hours per week, on-site only.
- Strong potential to renew contracts based on performance.
