Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
- Prior experience working in K-12 schools or with pediatric populations highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
- Ability to carry out individualized and group therapy sessions onsite
- Skilled in documentation and reporting related to student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, student-centered physical therapy services onsite
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess and document students’ physical strengths and areas for growth
- Educate school staff and caregivers on physical therapy strategies for optimal student outcomes
- Monitor, report, and track students’ progress towards their therapeutic goals
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
