Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid and current New Mexico school psychologist license
- Previous experience working with students at the elementary, middle, and/or high school levels
- Sound knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and compliance with state and federal educational regulations
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for students requiring special support
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention plans
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed
- Assist with the development of programs and strategies to address learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help create a positive and inclusive school environment
- Support educators and families through training and resources about student mental health and well-being
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting in accordance with district and state policies
