ELA Teacher in Mesa, AZ

This contract position spans the full academic year from August 3 through May 21, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule in a collaborative classroom environment. Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License (required)
• IVP fingerprint clearance card (required)
• Experience teaching English Language Arts, emphasizing reading, writing, and comprehension
• Background or credentials in special education is an asset
• Ability to co-teach and collaborate effectively with fellow educators
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-instruct English classes in alignment with the school’s curriculum and standards
• Provide effective support to students in all aspects of ELA: reading, writing, and comprehension
• Cooperate closely with co-teacher(s) to develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of students, including those with IEPs
• Support classroom routines, classroom management, and student engagement strategies
• Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed
