Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Medical Biller to join our healthcare team in Dobbs Ferry, NY. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of hands-on experience in medical billing, specifically with HCPC code billing for Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end billing processes for DME services using appropriate HCPC codes
- Submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance carriers
- Review, track, and follow up on outstanding claims and denials
- Ensure timely and accurate billing and account reconciliation
- Train and mentor junior billing staff as needed
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, payer guidelines, and HIPAA
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and insurance representatives to resolve complex billing issues
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in DME
- Expertise in HCPC coding and insurance claim processes
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing procedures
- Proficient in billing software (e.g., Brightree, Kareo, or similar systems)
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be available to work on-site in Dobbs Ferry, NY
