Sun Raised Farms, Sun Raised Foods, and Montgomery Sheep Farm are a vertically integrated group spanning ground maintenance on solar farms (22 Farms), regenerative livestock production, premium meat processing, and direct to consumer and restaurant sales. With growing demand across Farmers Markets, Farm to Table Dinners, wholesale, and e-commerce, we are seeking a structured and experienced accountant that will be responsible for day-to-day accounting. The office is centrally located in Cornelius, NC with walking distance to bus, coffee shops and restaurants.
Role Overview
This is primary a full-time position but can also be a 50-60% on-site role for the right accountant depending on how we structure and split the tasks.
The accountant will be responsible for daily financial transactions, general ledger activities, inventory, reconciliation, managing accounts payable and receivable, payments, ad hock sales reports, and other tasks related to the company's day-to-day business and ad hock office tasks.
- Qualifications
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Some experience in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is a plus, - but not required if you have accounting experience.
- Experience from the food industry is an advantage but not required
